Quantum Research International - two positions

Quantum Research International is interviewing for two potential positions supporting Army materiel acquisition activities near Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Dynamic Modeler:

Proficient in multi-body dynamics model development and analysis. Position requires specific knowledge of packages such as: ADAMS/CAR, ADAMS/VIEW, Virtual.Lab Motion, and CarSim/ & Truck/Sim.Experience in the development of contact elements, control systems, tire representations, flexible bodies are helpful.  A through understanding of automotive chassis and suspension systems is necessary for consideration to include a working knowledge of automotive power train and braking systems.  Additional experience in test and model validation is helpful.

FE Analyst:

Perform linear elastic, geometric linear and non-linear plastic finite element analysis for static and dynamic simulations in the context of PoF for multiple army components and systems. Individual duties include building finite element meshes consisting of 1D beams, 2D shell, 3D solid, and other elements to facilitate PoF analysis, researching and applying current state of the art analysis methodology, writing reports, making presentations, and providing technical advice and support to other team personnel. This work required extensive knowledge of the mathematical basis and formulation of finite element modeling.  Experience with Nastran, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, ANSYS, I-DEAS, FEMAP, HYPERMESH, and nCode are beneficial.
