Fast Growing International company is searching for an R&D UV FORMULATIONS CHEMIST to assist in the development of UV Curable Formulations (Inks, Coatings, Adhesive applications) branching into many diversified graphic arts markets such as Flexography, Offset, Screen, Digital Printing etc.. Candidates should be innovative and creative with a mind set to achieving the end goal. Candidate participates in and contributes to all aspects of UV Curables product development and scale-up, including both fundamental application of existing clients and long term research and developments. Candidate will create ink formulations and performs all laboratory testing, including adhesion, durability, weathering and stability. Develops new tests as needed. Assists in commercial scale-up of inks, sets specifications, and teaches new test methods to manufacturing associates. Uses and works with commercial printer in development. This position involves laboratory work, interaction with manufacturing, customer support and supplier relations.
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience is desired but will also consider strong chemical backgrounds. Related experience into Ink Chemistry is highly advantageous but also may include chemistry experience in printing plates, fountain chemistry or press side exposure of Lithography. Will ultimately hire the Highest Talent and Work Ethic even if past educational experience isn't duplicate to the current position requirements.
