Grant Proposal Approval Process
The College of Science requires that all proposals on which our faculty are PI's or Co-PI's be approved first by their own department head or designated approver, then by the dean's office. If there are Co-PI's from other colleges involved, then all signatures, along with the respective department head and dean's office approvals, are required before bringing them to the COS dean's office for approval. Please use the "COS Signature Page" found on this web site to obtain all signatures.

Likewise, if you are a College of Science Co-PI on a proposal from another college, signatures are required from all parties involved. All colleges at Virginia Tech require this signature page; however, the Office of Sponsored Programs does not, so when OSP is contacted about proposal requirements, they may not mention the signature page requirement.
